Modding support (no options left)
So with this latest post, many many players have lost faith and support for these developers, and honestly they deserve it, to many developers have got away with abandoning or just slowing development to a halt and ran with the money.
that is what I see happening here again.
We have seen everything that was in that post before from so many developers, it's disgusting.
Now the only way to fix their blunder or greed? add modding support. remove the hosted servers add a server program and let people host their own servers let us create mods and more things for the game, because you devs clearly can't handle game development it seems.
Now I really didn't want to write all this, I orginally liked the idea of this game, but seeing that post from developers basically means
"yeah we are gona take our timmmeeeeee on updates because you believed us that we are "working hard" on things on the back end"
that is development short hand for, our team is three people now and we still really want all your money you gave us but we can't make the game we promised.

Devs you have done NOTHING to earn the trust of your community, you do not have the good grace you need to afford something this bad...

Worlds Adrift is built on new and upcoming server software SpatialOS - In fact, Worlds is the first game to be released with SpatialOS (and very few have followed). SpatialOS itself is still in development, and that means a beta game is being built with beta software. There is no "handbook" for problems that may arise - Improbable are giving Bossa loads of support of course, but that's all they have and so things will take longer.

Judging from the tone of your message I assume you yourself are also a games developer? If so, it might be worth checking out SpatialOS to see the benefits it can offer - but also understand why some things may take a little longer. It has a free trial :) https://improbable.io/games

OP has no idea on how things actually work, also accusing them of greed is hilarious.

Being able to host your own server means you would have 100+ servers with 3-4 people in each one. I am fascinated by your level of ignorance.

Which is exactly what you want when you have a small group of people to play with and want to avoid external interference. Plus, modding support is always a good thing, and private servers are required for modding support.

Not everyone plays the same way. For my part, a moddable single-player version of Worlds Adrift — be it offline or through a single-person private server — would certainly get me to purchase it.
