Modern Tyrian Successor? (A "Thank You")

I didn't know anything about this game until I saw it on the front page today. I see, I buy, I play a few hours. Enjoying it a lot so far, and I couldn't help but notice similar features with an older game, Tyrian. Tyrian was always a big deal to me, and until Drifting Lands nobody has managed to bring back the combination of ship customization, a slick colorful art style, and a sweet OST.

Thanks devs for unknowingly making the game I didn't know I really wanted, n_n b

The hours I put into Raptor and Tyrian. I'd forgotten about Tyrian, actually, so thanks for a little blast of nostalgia.

I'm enjoying this one as well. It's a SHMUP, it has loot, and there you have it. It's quite pleasing, especially to a specific generation of gamers.

Also, I'm with you and dig the OST.

Ah, Raptor: another cool one. I remember borrowing floppy disks from a friend to install it, haha. The nineties were definietly when shmups were a big deal, especially anywhere there were arcade cabinets.

My only complaint with DL is the primary weapon sfx. Most of them lack 'punch'.

But yeah, cool to know there's others out there. We should start a club or something, haha.
