This game's a 5$ or less kind of deal. I hate to say this because I know how difficult it is to make videogames and how much money has to be invested, but it just does not deserve it. It doesn't have a single unique and creative bone in its body.
Even the art style is pretty run-of-the-mill, "fresh into college", "I draw animu" fare.
Mugen Souls? The character art is nice and I appreciate some of the digs it takes at anime and game tropes, but other than that, the game is actually pretty bad. Not to mention they censored the game too. And as someone who's against censorship, the fact that Ghostlight cut content from it just because 'Steam said so' sounds like they're trying to avoid the blame of their own actions when their customers starting getting mad. Now they just gone silent on why they didn't do an off-site patch like many other games have done for the past year to put censored content back into the game for their customers.
Anyway like I said before, Mind Zero is impressively average in nearly everything it attempts to do. The story is probably the high point (but, not that great) that ends on a cliffhanger which is very unlikely to ever see a sequel.
I wouldn't call it a bad game, but I would recommend keeping your expectations low, wait until it's on a deep sale, and, even then, probably make sure you have absolutely nothing else better to do with the time you'll spend on it. I'm still really surprised that this was announced for PC, and even more so that they're following through on it.
