2- open the game file
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steam\steamapps\common\PURE
3- paste your dll... d3d9.dll file into the file
4- start your game
Worked on Win 11 so should be working on Win 8.1 / 10 too.

Why would you install a 3rd party software if you can replace 2 files?
you can have your opinion but this method is much better and safer
Those "unknown" files exist for 13 years and if they were a virus, they'd be exposed and taken down years ago.
What's really not legal - is to sell the game and not caring what happens with it on newer OS.
Crack also records hours if you launch it via Steam.
with this mentality man, get the game for free from unknown sites, you will not pay a penny for it anyway, because that version will be cracked.
and for your info, my copy of Pure works fine from Steam, i don't have that error, i still have physical disc drives without any disc in them and no virtual drives either.
