Empire Mode: do you only play your own character?
Since we can control any character who participates in an Invasion/Defense/Raid, do you always play your main character or do you sometimes take control of another one?

Personnaly, I usually juggle between my PC, my Sworn Siblings and my Spouse. This way, the Merit gain is evener between them and it allows me to vary my gameplay. I mean, playing the same character for a whole scenario becomes boring after a while.

Once I become Ruler, I tend to widen the range of the characters I play.

What about you?

just you. but you can save your timeline when you finish the game.
then you can insert yourself into another character in it.
haven't tried it myself yet so I might be wrong

I mostly play my own characters yes, but I created about 5 characters and most have had children from completing on normal, and hard modes.

If only you could take your PC out of battles... bleh. Gets frustrating when he's fatigued and still have to use him in every battle that pops up. Give the poor guy a break :c

No you can't – actively – swap. It's just for a single battle. (That being said, it would be… interesting?)

nevermind figured it out. you can do it for battle and raid but not for quest

The higher my rank is, the less I actively use my caw's on battlefield, I trust him or her to survive against +4 officers on their own while I wreck the field with generic or some other famous officer

I typically don't do it. Of course, it all depends on what battle I'm fighting. If it's a fight for the capital and its lands, I tend to want to get an LSS that is inferno. Gale is a plus.

It makes getting bases much easier. Still a pain if you are ole Zhuge Liang and you basically do no damage to the enemy...
