You favorite Stratagems set?
So what are the usual stratagems you bring with you?

For my own part:
  • Raid | To survive the hardest fights
  • Unity | Nearly full heal for myself and nearby officers, useful in chaos mode
  • Bowman Turret | Because I feel it's mandatory.
  • Summon | So I can go somewhere else while an ally NPC capture a base for me
  • False Orders | Cheap and very useful.
  • Reinforcements | Can turn the tide of a battle if used at the right moment. I prefer it over the other Large Scale Stratagems, mostly because it only needs one unit to retire.

Recuperate (full health - very useful when you have +6 officers on you and its chaos)
Inspire (boosts your own officers fighting - aka musou spam!)
Upgraded turret (150 or 100 meter arrow hailstorm to any peon who dares to come close)
Ultimate might (insane boost to ATK & DEF - bye bye peons and officers)
Concentration (full rage meter - bye bye everything in sight)
Unity (because my own officers don't know wtf is self healing) :claugh:

Unity to heal my officers
Fire Attack- for quick sweep up of bases, I usually use in combo with
Ranged Turret
Temper for Musou Gauge
Transformation for those time when the objective force me to overextend

That's pretty much it, admittedly havent explored all of the Stratagems yet. Havent thought of using Summon for that kind of thing though, usually used for saving them, lol. Might use it more often now..

Unity (heal me and officers, works well with fortitude + summon)
Transformation (to gtfo or get back to camp to prevent a loss)
March (usually sends someone to die, works well with summon/fortitude, likes to grab AI attention who turn around to stop them)
Fortitude (bring back someone who was defeated which brings them back on top of you for extra push)
Base Repairs (used in conjunction with transformation to prevent loss or simply used for defense)
Summon (bring a badass with you so you dont die)

Is what i go with, simply because march is fantastic, fortitude can turn the tide when combined with summon, and unity keeps you and allies alive, sometimes i swap march out for peerless or inspire/spirited

Base repairs are amazing for defense and transformation for pushing the envelop when a group a guys are rushing your main camp.

Tends to work out really well, i enjoy this setup alot, the only large scale strategem i ever bother with is thunderstorm with snow altar.

I don't quite know yet. What I do know is that I never really use the same stuff all the time. However, this is what I can get out of it:

-Unity. So damn useful. There's no reason not to get it.
-Transformation. Dying? Witht his, I can get out of dodge quickly.
-Any turret. Other than the basic one, if I can help it. Seriously, there are bases out there with 10 or so peons, where you need to kill 200-300 peons. Taking a turret there makes it so much easier to take the base down. I still don't know why they thought it was a good idea to have very little peon bases...
-Battle magic. I like my attack boost, thank you very much.
-Inferno. Kill everything with fire.
-scale formation. Moar attack power.

Admittedly, I have to try using the weather altars. Alternatively, use gale, then inferno. The enemy will wonder where everyone went after it all hit. I'd rather use a weather altar then inferno.

-Recovery. Because I don't care about my officers and I'm always far ahead deep in enemy territory by myself anyway.
- Transformation. Sometimes the AI pulls off a very amazing thrust with LSS and I do have to scurry back and defend.
- Bowman turret. It's the best turret.
- Wind Altar. To set up other LSS. Enhances both Gale and Inferno.
- Gale. For when you're attacking a capital and there's just so many officers/they call reinforcements.
- Inferno. For when you just want it to end quickly.

edit: Recovery heals more than Unity. And if I'm not mistaken, Gale enhanced Gale makes 3? officers retreat. Compared to 1 or 2 with the regular Gale. Not sure how much more damage Gale enhanced Inferno does, but it'll keep telling me I doubled it's effectiveness.

Sometimes I switch out Wind Altar with Snow Altar and play around with Thunderstorm and Hailstorm. Flood is imo the worst pos LSS. The AI even on chaos just doesn't make enough turrets to warrant it.

I used Gale Inferno a few times. It was ridiculous how officers lost half of their life.

Recovery completely heals I believe. Unity heals for something like 75% HP.

I always play chaos mode without bonus points, so I often use:

-unity
-recuperate
-summon
-recovery tower
-battle magic
-gale

health is important for me because i keep dying

- Battle Magic: Extra Damage never hurts to have, no pun intended
- Transformation and Swift Raid: If I am too far away from where I need to be these two are amazing time safers.
- Unity: Good for everyone's survivability. I'm confident enough in my skills to get this over Recovery and it's nice to keep allied officers in the field alive for a little bit longer when it really matters.
- Temper: Gimme my Musou attacks! If an enemy officer is on it's last life and you Musou attack them they are guaranteed to drop a weapon! Real nice for Empire Mode!
- Coercion OR Asura's Might: Coercion removes a buff an enemy officer placed upon thenselves and stuns them. Good for really strong officers trying to stall. Asura's Might instantly destroys Spot Turrets and Instant Bases created through Stratagems. Say an enemy base has 400 durability, and there are 4 Spot Turrets. Each one of them are worth 100 durability, which means destroying all of them allows you to instantly take over the enemy base!

Spirited (aoe extra attack) - unity (aoe healing) - transformation (tp to base) - ranged turret. Usually just use first when there's several officers to kill quickly, second when I'm severely wounded (self only healing works as well, it's just more tedious to get), third when there's sudden need to defend main base or base near it and last when there's base to take down quickly (or just to take down and I have SP I can spare)

You guys are using the wrong healing strategem. Affection is the best healing strategem! It costs only one bar but heals and boosts attack and defense for everybody. It cost some troops but I never find myself running out of troops ever!
My list is:
- Affection (Op healing and stat buff)
- Swift Raid (Omae wa mou shindeiru)
- Temper (With the rate that they spam Musou, yeah)
- Inspire (Morale determined how easy it is going to be)
- Wind Altar (Recover stratagem bar and boost the next one)
- Inferno or Gale (Depending on the CAW. Inferno damaged every base and reduced their health. Gale instantly killed three officers and interrupted their attack.)

Yeaaaah late game affection is S tier and maybe on AI companions. HOWEVER when using it yourself, you lose a respawn pie piece and you get mediocre stat increase with it....

With Taus mod and extreme mod it's not really benefiting since you can die in 1 to 3 shots and they spam musou and gang up on you... you would be better using something that let's you keep those respawns incase you get blind sided or make a mistake

SWIFT RAID
AFFECTION
INFERNO
WIND ALTAR

I always take these four, no matter what. The rest, is usually what I feel like.

Hmm. Thanks @Reaper, I have switched it up a bit thanks to observation and your info, but those were what I always chose in 'nilla.
