Will it use custom characters/armies in campaigns?

I just saw these people on youtube and in screenshots make these characters like Hitler and the nazis, Stalin and the soviet Russians, the Fire Nation from avatar etc. but will they show up randomly in a campaign? like if I make all of those characters, give them their attacks, emblems, customized mounts and soldiers, will other nations have them in campaigns randomly? How does it base who it chooses to be in the factions? Can I recruit them into my force?

Sorry, I am new to DW, and the only one I have played is Vol 2 on PSP, and I love strategy games and customization, and I am very interested in this.

Yeah, they show up randomly as free officers and the CPU forces will sometimes hire them. You can also run into them during Quests (they can either be the ones asking you to do the quest or the boss of that quest that you have to beat)

Obviously, it's all random, so the more Custom characters you have, the more chance you'll run into them.

As for custom soldiers and flags, only you can use them to affect your forces, but if you use the custom scenario feature, you can assign those to a CPU force I think..... I'm not sure on this

so your custom characters will appear and they will use them, but they will not have their flags and armies? kinda sad, but oh well, at least its part of it.

so I just now started a campaign game, and I have 1000 troops, but where do I go to tell it to use my custom soldiers and flags? or is that only if you command your own faction?

Presst start, go to settings. That is where you can set your custom warhorse, units and banners. You can also change the music and the residence, war council hall and throne room there.

K, another question lol

I have been doing all my quests solo, even though I have 2 other officers in my vagabond unit, and now I am part of a kingdom, but I am still the only one that shows up somewhere in the pre battle officers screen, can you only do quests solo?

Yes, you can only do quests solo. Kind of sucks, but that's how it is.

ok, one more question, can you set it up in free mode to use custom banners and troops per side in defensive and invasion battles? I got the characters setup for attacking and defending, but I don't see where to choose banners/troops if you even can

also, why is there no auto save? The game crashed after I named my first daughter, then when I went back, none of my quicksaves were there, so I had to restart all over ;_;

Its been real fun so far though

The first one I can't answer yet. Will get back to it.

You do have to save manually, but there is a quick save option by pressing delete. To save manually, go to start>system>save. That also allows you to see how many turns you have taken.

yea I figured that out the hard way lol, I had been doing quicksaves ( I thought) but they didn't show up after I had to relaunch the game. Oh well, I have a better understanding of what to do in campaign now anyway
