Been playing these two series some years now and its always been the -1 vs 1000 ikkitousen-hack & slash fighting
i can easly solo whole map (if not for base capture defeat :< )
horses is instagib early game.
but usually i capture whole map in 7 years.
1) This my first dynasty warriors/samurai warriors game. So that explains why I don't have any reference w/r/t the earlier entries in the series.
2) I definitely don't need troops now on easier difficulty, but I was mostly wondering about harder difficulties.
Thanks to all the responders.
Don't remember if it happens in the other games, haven't played them in a while.
generally speaking though I just let them do their thing or defend key points while I do most of the work xD
That's DW logic in a nutshell. But be careful on Chaos. Freaking hate how that works out.
As for cannon fodder following you... A DW game never has them following you. You are a one man army in these games. Highest KO count in empires? 3.5k KOs or so.
I remember those guys, mine beat maps for me, usually killing generals before I have a chance to see them. Miss those guys :P
You also had troops follow you in Dynasty Warriors 5 Empires! They made you 1 Man Army later on in Empires as well. Sad that you the ruler can't have a elite group follow you....you'd think the ruler be well guarded but nope....just...just no.
Almost. DW5 gave you a single, more powerful bodyguard, and DW8XL allowed you to have up to 3 named officers (be they NPCs or playable officers) following you around.
