Songs in the music list

I noticed that there are slots for other songs from Dynasty Warriors 3-7 in the song selection menu, but there's nothing there. Do I have to unlock them? If I do, that's kind of stupid seeing as how it was always usable from the beginning in past empire games. If they're there to hold place for DLC then that's BS.

The BGM DLC only features 8? New songs and even with this DLC, there are still no songs from the old games.

Seems to be a problem on all versions of the game.
The DW8 music dlc doesnt seem to carry over either so...eh no idea.
If they actually plan to release it as DLC(and knowing KOEI they will)it would be a new low even for them.

My first thought was that they would be unlockable in-game, but it seems unlikely to be honest.

If Koei want to sell the music separately for people who don't have DW8XLCE then that's fine with me, but if they withhold the extra content in that game from people who own it, they're going to lose a fair few fans.

I hope that it's unlockable in-game, or a bug. Otherwise, Koei need to improve their customer service.

Well word on gamefaqs is you have to unlock them but without any indication how to thats a rather dubious source.
Even if thats true...unlocking bgm?Really?Come the ♥♥♥♥ on.

Ah. It might be a case of having to unite China at least once before you have access to them. Can anyone who has finished a playthrough confirm or deny this?

You unlock them by playing the stages, the more stages you play the more get unlocked.

Just by regular playthrough, I.e if you played the stage Battle of Chi Bi and it's scenarios you will have unlocked the music for it.

Ah I thought that would be the case. I'm praying that it has the Regret of Lu Bu track (I think thats's it's name) from the later stages of Lu Bu's campagin in 8 XL, loved that track.

I beleive how you do that is you have Itunes in the background. That's how that works.

Yeah it is unfortunate that all the songs are incorporated into the LINKDATA file otherwise I would use the Warriors Orochi Ultimate soundtrack.

Just checked, my favourite track is indeed unlockable in game. Now I have Grief of Lu Bu playing whenever I'm on the Empire screen. Awesome.

So I finished Empire mode today, and also Hulao Gate, but I still have no music from Dynasty Warriors 1-7. All of the music slots are still blanked out for those games and I'm now truly confused as to how I'm supposed to unlock them (assuming they're even unlockable).

What I'd be grateful to know is if anyone else has had any luck unlocking music from Dynasty Warriors 5, and if so, how did you do it?
