Dynasty Warriors 8 Empires or Warrior Orochi 3? PS4 version

So.. Havn't played DW for a while (last ones were DW6 Empires and Samurai Warriors 3 I think. Never played the Orochi versions).

I'm wondering wich one to buy on my PS4 between DW8 Empires and Warrior Orochi 3.

Both seems great and I can't decide wich one I should choose over the other.

I might play in coop split screen with a friend from time to time too.

So, I'm asking to you fans out there that played them... any advice? Wich one is the most fun to play in split screen? (Is it true that you can only play in coop in free mode in DW8 Empires ?)

What about the online mode? Is there anything special with DW8 Empires? Warriors Orochi having the duel mode for example.

About the combat system.. is it better on one or the other?

Anway... help please :)

From the little I actually played (I spent most of my time in Edit mode), Local co-op is available in certain Empires Mode battles. I'd assume that would be the same on console. Online co-op, from what I heard, is only available in free mode on consoles. That said, overall, DW8E feels much better than DW6E (and being able to actually set up scenarios is good)

I haven't played Warriors Orochi 3 at all (don't have any platform that it's available on).

Warriors Orochi 3 is pretty much the Marvel Vs Capcom of the series as it's a series crossover game which allows "tagging-in" allies to continue combos. It has a lot of content although be warned the DW guys are from DW7 and not DW8.

Hi there, I like Warriors Orochi 3, you get tons of characters around 145. On PS4 you will get 1080p + up to 60fps. Also you get alot of content in it, only down side for this, you can't create your own character and graphics don't look that good. I'm still playing this game and trying to lvl up all characters. WO3U is very cheap for PS4.

Very cheap? On the PSN, WO3 is still 59,99$, while DW8 Empires is 49,99$ :/

I'm kind of surprise about that I must say.

And what about the online and split screens modes for both games?

Sorry my fault, I got my for 20$ in UK... Anyway there is splitscreen and online multiplayer for both games, but I never play multiplayer.
