Improving graphics with Nvidia Inspector and Reshade Framework
Hey guys.

Actually you can give this game quite an upgrade in graphics.

If you have a good Nvidia GPU you can try the following settings with the inspector:

Compatibility:
Ambient Occlusion combatibility: 0x0000002A (Diablo III)
Antialiasing combatibility: 0x004412C1 (Diablo III)

Antialiaisng:
Antialiasing - Mode: Override any app settings
Antialiasing - Setting: 2x2 Supersampling
(use lower settings if you have FPS problems)

2xSSAA = 2x your resolution = 3840x2160 (@ 1080p)
3xSSAA = 3x your resolution = 5760x3240 (@ 1080p)
4xSSAA = 4x your resolution = 7680x4320 (@ 1080p)

You can also try different AA settings or SMAA/FXAA for budget cards.
Please notice MSAA is bugged in this game on Nvidia cards.

Texture Filtering:
Anisotropic filtering mode: User-defined / Off
Anisotropic filtering setting: 16x

Common:
Ambient Occlusion setting: High Quality
(thats HBAO+, Quality is HBAO, Performance is SSAO)

Ambient Occlusion usage: Enabled
Power managment mode: Prefer maximum performance
To prevent strong GPUs to reduce frequency.

Other:
NVIDIA Quality upscaling: 0x00000001
Use this if you are NOT playing with your native resolution.
GPU will use lanczos filtering instead bilinar filter. = sharper.
(Good for 1440p or 2160p users)

In addition to those settings you can download the Reshade Framework here:
http://reshade.me/

It comes with a high amount of shaders (SweetFX, GemFX, McFX, MasterEffects, etc...)
Please notice depth buffer effects are not supported in this game.

Thanks to those settings above the game looks quite good even if 1080p is not my native resolution. As supersampling helps to improve the image quality and texture filtering.
Please notice that SSAA needs a lot of performance.

Thanks for the tips. Worthy of bumping up.

Edit: I played at 2x2 supersampling + 8x MSAA.
Along with the other fixes mentioend above.
The drawback is, that all screens (F12) come up black, so can't capture anything anymore.

Did you set the option to 'override any application setting'?

SSAA is not multiply your resolution but number of pixel
1920x1080 = 2 073 600 (@ 1080p)
2xSSAA = 2x pixels = 4 147 200 (@ 1080p)
3xSSAA = 3x pixels = 6 220 800 (@ 1080p)
4xSSAA = 4x pixels = 8 294 400 (@ 1080p)
3840x2160 = 8 294 400
7680x4320 = 33 177 600
