Getting the English audio for the game

So I purchased the game and it said that there was no English audio. But I went back to the purchase page on Steam and it now has an option to add the English version of the game to my cart for another $49.99. Is there a way for me to just patch my current version of the game to include the English audio, rather than buying the game again, since I already own the game?

I would have to check, but I'm pretty sure that $49.99 game is Dynasty Warriors 8: Xtreme Legends Complete Edition, which is a completely separate game and part of the main series (hence why it has English VA: Koei Tecmo bothered enough with it to have English audio). Technically, DW8: Empires is a spin-off with more tactical gameplay.

Edit: I took a look, and I see what you're talking about. However, that's the option to buy the English VERSION of the game with English subtitles and interface (while the Japanese version has EVERYTHING in Japanese). Audio will still be Japanese no matter what, but you don't really need to pay that much attention to the dialouge, since unlike the main titles, there's no overall "story" in Empires.

Yeah, I realized that the English Version I saw might have been referring to English subtitles after I made this post lol. Thank you for the confirmation though. But is the Xtreme Legends Version similar to the regular DW8? If so, I might get it since the regular version isn't on Steam

It's the improved regular version. Regular version plus more characters, modes and err... things.
