As for others, I did a co-op scenario with my brother (who mains Sword & Shield with his main character), and I decided to play as Sun Jian and Sun Ce whenever my personal character wasn't in the battle lineup, and to be honest, I REALLY enjoyed the Nine Rings Blade and Tonfas respectively. The former is VERY good at dealing with groups of mooks and capping bases (and doesn't slack off against officers, either), while the latter is decent at mook-clearing and is an excellent weapon against enemy officers. Best part is: both weapons can charge Musou and Rage at pretty good rates (with the 5* and 6* NRBs boosting Musou and Rage charge rates respectively), allowing for pretty effective Musou/Rage builds. The Twin Swords (Liu Bei) and Bow (Huang Zhong) aren't very far behind, though the latter relies on positioning due to the normal string keeping you in place while you're attacking.
As for least favorite, while I don't particularly hate any weapons that I've tried so far, and would likely still use them with some characters, I'd have to say that the Flame Bow (Zhu Ran) is one of the weapons I least like. For one, I don't like how its Strong Attacks rely so heavily on having a target marked. That somewhat helps with officers, but is a bit of an inconvenience when trying to deal with mooks. The saving grace for it is the ability to reposition between Normal Attacks. Also, while I haven't tried the Club (Xu Zhu) yet, the one time I tried it in Dynasty Warriors Online kinda told me right away how much I disliked its slow and easily-punishable moveset, and DW8:E likely won't change my mind much should I give it a try.
The Club is like Huang Gai's Arm Blade (Boat) slow but it had a very wide area of attack when it comes to charge attacks and also has a grapple move. Its EX moves also useful. But the downside was, you would have to be on a certain distance to perform a complete attack. Not very good on low levels and on close quarters. I made a CAW which heavily relied on "Immovable" strat on a blob of officers and some recovery while maining the said weapon..
At the end of the day though, Flame Bow vs. Bow is more a matter of personal preference (which is honestly what this topic is about). Also note that I'm not taking their best/6* weapons into consideration, and looking at the base moveset + EX attacks (especially since Zhu Ran and Huang Zhong have the same base stats, and custom characters are a thing). However, I will note that both of them have pretty decent Musou Attacks and Rage Attacks (most notably Huang Zhong's Unlimited Volley and both Bow's Musou that can launch officers and destroy them while they're in the air).
As for Club, like I said, I haven't tried it yet. I might end up finding it pretty decent, and I may end up finding a weapon I dislike more. But after using DWO's Club, while I'll look at it as a different weapon from its DW5/DWO version, I won't hold my breath.
