This. There's no online multiplayer for the PC version, but considering that multiplayer is only possible for battles where you can assign more than one playable warrior (i.e. invasions, defensive battles, basically any time you (or your ruler) can set up warriors (and thus activate co-op and select player 2's warrior) prior to entering battle preparation), it's not really a huge loss, and local multiplayer is still possible (preferably with two controllers to avoid the hassle of attempting to adjust controller settings to force a controller to always be P2).
Since all of them are pretty much the same game by this point (especially in the case of available DLC, most likely), it somewhat comes down to which version you'd prefer. Also depends on whether or not lack of online multiplayer (regardless of how much or how little it's actually used) is going to be a dealbreaker.
It isn't the topic title, but if anyone happens to check in here and is willing to message me or comment on how Samurai Warriors 4 Empires compares to Dynasty Warriors 8 Empires, I'd appreciate it
