Opening from Steam Library 'Play' button crashes game
Hi, I'd just like to report a problem that was mentioned in a different thread but I think it requires its own one.

Issue:
Pressing the 'Play' button from the Steam library launches, but immediately crashes, the game.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Click on the 'Play' button for 'Framed Collection'.
2. Launches game for approx. 1 second
3. 'Frame.exe has stopped working' pop up appears.
4. Only option is to 'Close Program'

I was able to play the game via the .exe file found in (Steam\steamapps\common\FRAMED\bin), however it would be nice to have access to the achievements and, of course, time played for review purposes.

I have tried:
1. Validating steam files.
2. Uninstalling, redownloading and reinstalling the game.
3. Updating graphic drivers.

My laptop details are:
OS: Windows 8 64bit
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-3517U CPU 1.90GHz
Memory: 4GB DDR3
Graphics: AMD Radeon HD 8730M

Cheers!

I'm seeing the same issue.

It seems to be looking for MSVCP120.dll and MSVCR120.dll.

FYI, the game Titan Attacks seems to bundle these DLLs. If you have that game, you can copy them to the FRAMED/bin folder and that seems to fix the problem.

+1, same problem

[Edit: Solved problem by switching from Integrated Graphics to my Nvidia Card. My Card is highly overpowered for this game, but at least it starts. Obviously my Integrated Graphics driver is outdated.]

Thanks everyone for the help, unfortunately I won't be able to check this anymore as I've switched to a new computer, but hopefully your suggestions may help for other users!
(and if I install on this computer, or access my old one at some point, I'll see if it's still a recurring problem)

Hi.

To translate @Hetkala:

"For anyone having the same problem, reinstalling OpenAL helped. So that means, in Programs and Features uninstalling OpenAL, restarting the computer, and then downloading it again (e.g. via GIGA) to install anew. It'll then work with Steam."
