Custom Presets Broken?

Whenever I try and create a world that has any custom settings, like lots of turkeys, butterflies, no rain, always summer, whatever; none of it actually applies to the generated world.

I pick all the settings, save as preset, press apply, then create world. Then I disconnect, go to 'view world' from the browser, and all my custom settings are default.

I've tried disabling all mods, does anyone have any reccomendations? Or the same problem at least?

I've had problems with this too.
In my server, we turned red-butt beefalo off, but when we started, they were still around.
Same with flowers, I turned up flowers all the way, but when I started playing there were hardly any.
Tried turning off killer bee hives, but they were still everywhere.

I would say it's probably a bug. There have been server issues lately, so maybe this is one of them. You should make a bug report in the bug forum, see if anyone has any answers.

Thankyou for confirming that someone else has this issue. I keep seeing servers hosted with 'custom' settings but i can never tell if they're different.

Deleted/refunded the game for being broken. Just walk away from this trash.

I don't think people realized how old this thread was, but yeah it was working before. It was definitely working a few patchs back and it seems like the patch before the most recent one broke it.

turn off multi level and it works again

It's a problem with the settings file in yours my documents/klei/dst folder. I had the same problem before and it was because I had manually put some text in to create a dedicated server and forgot that overrides everything. Try deleting the file (I forgot what it was called but think it was settings.ini) and it should work.
