However there's a lot of differing opinions - I recommend these[forums.kleientertainment.com]for[forums.kleientertainment.com]supplemental reading.
Also I played with a friend that used the mod to allow this, it's make the game very easy and braindead.
It surprisingly trivialize a lot the game. With armor always on you , you don't need to be careful about any monster ambush, and keep thulecite/scale armor for infinite sanity regen.
Combine with backpack you have even more slot for back up armors and healing.
And finally with magiluminescence amulet you're very fast and no longer need light ever.
Everything combined make you very strong.
So like, yeah it makes fights which are designed around +40-50% move speed trivial to be able to wear your move speed boosters alongside your armor, but the game already sort of gives us a stronger version of that.
Still, the games in an awkward spot where movespeed boosters being baked into some fights makes the micro needed to play right a bit odd. Since like one thing like wigfrids elden spear dash or the moose charge giving you burst movement can break things so you don't need micro.
So like. The mods sort of break things, but the game also sort of breaks itself once you get your resources, or just spend 18-24 days of running around the caves eating carrots and sharing lightbulbs with a cow.
The issue falls entirely in how good extra inventory is in this game and how many of the effects chest items give can be gotten elsewhere making sacrificing inventory for them not really ever worth it.
I think maybe a slot for things like puffy vests and similar items would be fine, but not armor and amulets.
