Mods Not Working
I am new to the game and today I just subscribed to a few workshop mods to test out but when I go to the mods tab it just shows "workshop-#########" and the mods don't have their pictures showing up in the preview box just a blank space. And when I try to enable then is says that the mods have not been tagged as compatible. Is there any fix for this, I tried looking online but I couldn't find a working solution?

"Workshop-####" means that there are corrupted mod remnants in your files.

You're going to need manually remove the mods from your game files to remove the corrupted remnants (this happens quite often).

This is an easy fix!:

-Turn off auto-subscribe, if you have it on (in-game).

With the game not running:

-Unsubscribe from ALL mods, that are showing "workshop-xxxxxxx" for you, on the Steam Workshop page.

-Go into your "Don't Starve Together" file/folder and manually delete ALL of those mods.

To do so; manually delete ALL:

workshop-<number> directories from your
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Don't Starve Together\mods directory.

-Save/Apply changes.

You should be able to find the rest of the mods here:

Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\322330

this isnt working for me and whenever i unsubscribe from a mod it gets rid of all the files so there are no files for me to get rid of in the first place

I have found a solution (doesn't work for every mod, but still it's better than nothing). You can try to copy the files from:

\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\322330

into:

\Steam\steamapps\common\Don't Starve Together\mods

and just remove the 322330 folder in \workshop\content. Then just open the game and hope for the best. For me there are some mods not working (they show as downloading but after it finishes they vanish) and there are still some corrupted files present. Nevertheless I hope this helps and I will post an update if I find some better solution.

[Solution that worked for me] Hey! I had the exact same issue. It may be late, but it could help some people. The solution above (and solution provided by Klei) didn't work for me, so after hours of digging, this arcicle helped me a lot: https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/130188-corrupted-mods-possible-solution/.

If your DST is installed on the drive other than C:, this may be the issue. Uninstalling DST and installing it on C: drive is what solved the problem for me. I can now install mods from workshop without any problems or workarounds with folders.

I hope it helps you!
