Isn't killing Deerclops supposed to reset the respawn timer?

Because this is the second time in a row where I've killed Deerclops early using a hostile flare, but he still spawned on day 30 and I had to kill him again. It says on the wiki that killing him resets a 72 day respawn timer, and it worked before when I was using the hostile flares, but now it seems he spawns on day 30 regardless. Not complaining though, Deerclops is extremely easy after they altered the attack hitbox and I can always use the second eyeball for a houndius or something later

Yeah you can also use c_supergodmode() to become invulnerable and immune to everything
