change characters mid game???

hi, me and my friend shave been playing dst for a while now, we have made it to day 103 and would like to switch characters, we dont want to use wooden thing quite yet so, what should we do???? thanks!

You are unable to switch characters, unless you use specific console commands.
The specific command I do not know, you'll have to search.

but there is no way to switch characters legit.

Enter console, and write in c_despawn(AllPlayers[1]) and c_despawn(AllPlayers[2])

That would despawn both players, allowing you to switch. Any items you are carrying will be deleted though.

There is also a mod which lets you switch characters at the spawn portal. The wooden thing does not exist in DST by the way.

Also, if you use the console command suggested above, I'm guessing you would need to use numbers 0 and 1 rather than 1 and 2, because of how computer math works. This is just an assumption though, I'm not sure whether the devs decided to make the console commands more 'user friendly'

While this may be an old discussion, I would like to say that it is possible to do so now. During meteor storms, there is a chance of a suspicious boulder to spawn. This contains a celestial orb that will allow you to upgrade the main portal. After doing so you can offer it a special item also crafted in the celestial orb and change characters. The whole thing is 21 moon stones and a purple gem.

U can just change in the legit way the game design to change character in-game via upgrading the portal. Lookup celestial portal at the dst official wiki page or via youtube like how xelahallow explained.
