So honestly they might aswell add a option to scale how much damage player does to enemies too.
Weird that they haven't already added such thing. With all these current options you get to make the game as easy or as hard as you want it wouldn't be out of place.
DST can be played solo, but its not intended to.
The hint is in the title.
And the game also encourages tweaking world settings to your liking to play however you want to. It even legit says in one of the loading screen hints:
"Meddle with World Gen settings in the Options menu to shape a world to your liking."
So there's that.
