Why doesnt the pc version have a Couch coop mode like the ps version.

Title. Is there any reason they never added it in this version of the game?
very disappointing starting this up on my steam deck to find the together bit is only for PlayStation.

There are a few, third party software programs, that you can use to enable split screen on PC.

This is the top one that came up in a basic websearch:

Thank you for the input, I do appreciate it.
Although,
that seems like it would be a pain in the butt on the steam deck as they would also need to be run through a separate instance of wine/proton.

I just dont see why they would choose to make people jump through hoops to play in a way that that theyve already developed for the game on ps4.
