Stage play won't progress. Bug?

I'm currently trying to finish the play you act out on the stage and i'm stuck on act 1 scene 2. I've done scene 2 like 4 or 5 different times and every time i come back a few days later it just makes me repeat it again. I put on the blacksmith outfit before doing it and i even have a mannequin wearing the doll outfit on the stage itself but nothing changes. The scene proceeds like normal and the curtains go down when it's over but the play won't move on the next scene. I can't figure out what i'm doing wrong.

If you did the play correctly, the curtains shouldn't close. Do you have both the head and body parts on both you and the mannequin?

yes i do. The mannequin is wearing the doll costume and fractured doll mask while i'm wearing the blacksmith outfit and mask.

yes i do. The mannequin is wearing the doll costume and fractured doll mask while i'm wearing the blacksmith outfit and mask.

I believe that it should be wearing the normal doll mask, not the fractured doll mask.

I believe that it should be wearing the normal doll mask, not the fractured doll mask.

How do i get that? I only have the fractured and broken mask versions and the briar hounds won't drop any more costumes. I've killed them many times over thinking there might still be another costume i need to get from them but they only drop top hats and sewing kits.

The brair hounds that come from the stage only drop items. You need to find the setpiece that has four brair hounds and a statue on top of lush carpeted tile. Those ones drop costumes.

Ok. I'll go there again and try to get the regular doll mask. Hopefully it'll work then. Thanks for your help. This has been driving me insane for a while. Not sure why they felt the need to make finishing this play so confusing.
