Is it possible to "tame" the salt zones and mine them unannoyingly with docks?

Title is the question. Salt mining is a giant pain nomatter what. If it could be made better in any way it would be amazing, even though this would be a massive undertaking obviously.

if the salt pillars are in shallow water then you can place docks around then and so long as you kill all the cookie cutters prior to placing the docks down and make sure there is some space for cookie cutters to spawn AND there are no boats in range of the cookie cutters aggro. then its safe to go then

if there's a a boat in range of cookie cutters after you place the dock then i'-m pretty sure the cookie cutters will eat through the docks, destroying them while they try to get to the boat

Oh so the docks only go out to shallows? You can't slowly create a walkable ocean through painstaking incorrect gameplay? Sad.

yeah they only go on shallow water as if they go on all water u can see the over powered potential. but you can make boat bridges still, just avoid any hostile mob that could destroy the boat

"Overpowered" not even close, but it would be a fun goal to not be burdened like that and have the oceans suck less.

What are you smoking? The cost of getting to those places is time, and it would take 30 times the time to 'dockify' the ocean to get to them. One which requires already fully completing the initial banana miniquest and ravaging the mon quey island for all it's palm trees to even start doing.

It would be a perfectly reasonable victory lap to put in a game that already allows the lategame nullification of so many other mechanics.

How would these be overpowered? Getting there is already easy, sailing isn't a difficult task.

like in the mid game its easy to get these resourses in mass numbers easily

get wicker and to handle growing the trees for wood and scales,and stonefruit for stone

wendy can handle the stingers

and maxwell can harvest all the wood and stone fruit but anyone else could do stonefruit as well

You need to get to the monkey island then fully complete the monkey queen quest of delivering her 6 bananas (this demands multiple trips back and forth and waiting for the plants) while somehow not dying or getting them stolen, then you need to get palm trees back home, which never duplicate and you could be server locked at like 3 trees until you feed the portal the 2nd lategamest item in the game that also rots for the off chance of getting one more sapling.

Then and only THEN would you be able to BEGIN waiting the three years it would take to get enough palm scales to do this if you are lucky.

There is no possible world in which this process eventually working would be 'OP', considering time is the limiting resource of the game, and this is the path of absolute maximum resistance towards the goal in mind.

i mean, get a woodie to goose his way over there and make maps,
wortox can warp there and box the wonkes or burn em depending on how u wanan handle it
make a boat bridge for wanda to set an anchor point or get some ppl to harvest resourses
and plus there like quite a few banana bushes that spawn on the island so should be enough to get the dock bp

the fastest i have seen ppl get a good large dock setup was like day 25

If you seriously think something this contrived and specific just to accelerate the very beginning of the giant wait necessary for what was suggested via dock spam is one iota of a reason believe your position then there isn't anything left to say.

Obviously just gathering salt normally is easier, and nothing in the vein of 'ease' stands in the way of allowing islandmaking via docks.
