Is it a bug? I fall from the boat into water many many times whenever I pick sth from ocean...

I didn't do anything except pressing the space button to pick up items floating on water, and then fall and drowned. Have any of you experience this, or it's only me? Do you know to fix it? Please help.

I think I know the reason... It is because the boat is moving fast. I tried to put down the anchor then do pick action, it is fine. But it's still a very annoying thing... Sometime even if I move too fast on the moving boat, I will fall too. Hope this will be changed soon.

Having a new problem now... Every time when I cancelled to control the boat direction (right click), I drowned. I have reload the day so many times, really tired to do so.

Same bug, just droping from boat into water as host, my friend dont have any issue

I encountered this bug, too. I have been playing for years, this is the first time I encountered it.

Same thing happened to me too - three times now. The first two times I was just using the steering wheel. And third time I tried just using an oar but it still happened..

Found two threads on Klei's site and it seems it may be because of lag compensation if you are hosting the game.

Thxxxx so much Sindayer! I tried last night for several hours with lag compensation to "none" and drowning bug did not happen even once! So happy I could use boat to move my base now :)
