What exactly does resetting the ruins do?

Becauze my ruins are tiny and i hope the reset is good

Resetting the ruins just replenishes the resources there. So new statues and clockworks will spawn so you can get more gems, gears, and thulucite.

Could you link a screenshot of your ruins? (from the map). I saw your other post complaining about it to so I just want to see if it really is small or if you're just used to the DS version of it.

Like, the ds version is pretty darn big, but I've seen dst ruin playthroughs, and mine seem miniscule by comparison

Yeah, thats an INCREDIBLY small ruins spawn. You just got really unlucky, but hey, it must've been easy to raid it right?

I mean, you can still have that. you just gottam y'know make a new world and lose everything you've worked for and cry in bed because of how the game decided to ruin your playthrough with a tiny ruins spawn, but y'know.
