Nothing, you buy it and the whole game is yours.

Just "Don't Starve Together." The other DLC listed directly are cosmetic items. If you buy the bundle, meaning "Don't Starve" with "Don't Starve Together", and all of "Don't Starve's" DLC (Shipwrecked, namely) you do get two more cosmetics for DST, but it's not necessary at all.

So if you don't care about cosmetics, in short: Just buy DST. Ignore DS the original and all the DLC.

Don't starve together is just a game, no dlc included except skins (although 1 DLC from the base game is included as part of the core game in don't starve together).

don't starve (which is a separate game and doesn't have to be bought to play don't starve together and vice versa) is a game with 2 DLC's (and another coming around the end of the year)

Don't Starve for the DLCs and single player content.

Don't Starve Together to play with people, and earn customize options.

It should also be noted that one of the original DS DLC, Reign of Giants, is automatically included in DST as part of the core game play. There is also mods for something very similar to Shipwrecked, and I suspect ones for Hamlet will follow a few months after DS releases it.

Edit: DST is also soloed quite often. It's harder, but there are also mods which can tweak health if you don't like the challenge. If you really don't care about cosmetics or playing with others though, then get the original.

i dont plan on playing with people unless the game has matching and i mostly play games alone so i should get Dont starve then. Also can anyone recommend Oxygen Not Included the artwork looks so good has anyone played it and is it worth it?

Yeah if you're going to get the original, I'd get Reign of Giants DLC to accompany it for boss fights. You could wait on the Shipwrecked DLC since it's a different game mode, but might be cheaper to get the whole bundle if the game really appeals to you.

I can't say on Oxygen as I haven't played it, but it looks good.

also is it true the team has now mostly focus on dont starve together and not updating Dont Starve?

Kinda true, but that might be because of the devs working on DLC for the game.

I wouldn't say it's forgotten, since they are releasing Hamlet in December. There is a lot more content for DST since they are releasing events with more planned, and again, mods. You can find very similar content in those like the DS DLC (to the point I'm surprised they allow it) and users have made even more original content. That's all contengent on someone who even likes mods though, and the difficulty ramped up if you're playing single player.

Yeah, Don't starve together is a game, not a DLC for the original... If you buy the game you,re set.
