phlem and steel wool

I went hunting and ended up finding that mucus thing (forgot its name) I got a few pigs to help me fight it and when it died it dropped phlem and steel wool, what can I craft with theese two items in particular? (Ik you can make a brush with a walrus husk and steel wool but I want to know if theres any other items you can craft)

Steel wool is needed to make the war saddle, which sucks for me since the ewecus doesn't spawn often enough in early worlds.

Phlegm is literally useless right now. It cannot be used for a fire, it can't be used to fertilize and I don't think you can even feed it to pigs. Literally all you can do is eat it.

Maybe one day they will add a use for it but for now it just seems to be an item they added in to be made into something but never got around to it.

Some important mods like Basements use steel wool...but they really don't have any other purpose.
