LAN option on PS4.. Hmm?

I'm not saying there aren't people with more than one PS4 in their home, but it's weird that option is on the console version.

My wife and I play DST.. a LOT. We both have steam accounts and our own computers.

My son really wants to play with us, but I just can't see forking out the $ to build him a pc just for this game since he plays mostly on PS4.

I was really hopeful this would be cross platform (ala portal 2). Sadly, when choosing a LAN game, it doesn't show up on the PS4's list.

Could any dev comment on if this is going to be a possibility in the future?

Or does anyone know if there's a way to make this work via LAN?

PC and PS4 = different versions. It not gona work and as i know devs not gona make crossplatform.
