Okay thanks!
Like 6480 said it is cheaper to just buy it from the Klei in game store.
If curious you can ask more cheers :p
unless it's a skin they'd use all the time, not sure why they'd regret it then =P
more apt to say 'OP, consider your purchases before buying anything, whether in game or outside of game, at the risk of regretting that purchase later' that really applies to anything in life though
Distinguished - 150 Spools
Elegant - 450 Spools
Cheapest prices as of typing this:
Spiffy - 0.09
Distinguished - 0.20
Elegant - 1.00
Didn't bother including Classy or Common because they're never worth it.
Right now Distinguished items have the best price-to-spools ratio, while Elegants are significantly less efficient.
If you bought enough Distinguished to craft it you'd only spend around $1.80 for the head and another $0.60 for the body.
Event skins are very different to normal DST skins. They are anti consumer, anti social and anti player. They are a big hoax literally.
may i ask why? I don't really see why.
They add optional variety that is purely cosmetic. There is no pay2win feature to them, you can completely ignore and bypass them and continue with free in-game skins if that's what you prefer
why are the skins, which are completely optional and avoidable, anti-consumer / anti-social and anti-player? It's not like it's a loot box you have to buy and open to get a random result (that's the free chest version you get in game, and if you don't like those, then ignore them too)
and it's not like buying them gives the player an advantage over players that didn't buy them
it's pure cosmetic change...for a rather affordable price, for those that desire to buy it outright instead of try RNG. Why is this a problem?
That said I'm not bothered that much by the cosmetics in general because it's a rare example of them being actually reasonably priced for once. I'm only paying $0.10 to $3.00 per skin most of the time. I'm not paying $10-$15 for a single item like most games.
This isn't an argument. Just because something has no gameplay impacts or is optional doesn't mean you're justified to charge whatever you want for it. If anything it should mean the opposite.
I mean really?! Bringing out xmas present skins and YOU CANT GIFT THEM to your beloved friends, partners family?
Thats bull manure right there! If those event skins would been gift and tradable i would have at least bought 4x of them with REAL money for friends gifts, but alas loss for klei and their shady business.
Not my problem if they corrupt steam accounts with rubbish you can't give away.
