Don't Starve Together

Is there a way to change back to the old tabs?
To be honest I don't like the new tabs. it is very inconvenient.
1. Although it is transparent, it still covers 40% of the screen. quite annoying.
2. the logo for each sections is too small to click on. like food, tools, light...etc.
3. we need to move the mouse more than before. The distance between click on an item to craft, and then choose a skin, and click the craft button takes too long.
4. I use the hotkey to open the tabs. which is "C". if I craft an structure, and I didn't place it on the ground right away, it will show a light-green/blue background for the logo.
In the new updated version, the structure still be a shadow follows your mouse, and it will disappear once you close the tabs. However, the new time you open the tab, that thing will automatically showed up. a big fxxking shadow. even if you don't meat to place it on the ground

my suggestion:

1. can the developers add a setting, so that there one can be called "classic Don't starve tabs", another is called "DST tabs"
2. even you guys don't wanna add the setting. please control the size of the tabs, so that it won't cover 40% of the screen when it's opened.
3. please think about our wrist, it hurts if we move the mouse too much.



if the devs still wanna keep this tabs,
Could someone make a mod so that we can still use the original tabs?

You can Change "The Crafting Menu Size" at Setting Default its 5 around like you said 40% you can shrink it up to 10% or 15% if i am correct and enlarge it to 70% if i am correct with the size at percent

You can adjust the Mouse or Controller sensitivity at Advance menu and favorite the item for short Mouse travel,then you can put it at Quick Craft to craft it quickly just 1 click or Ctrl 1-9 then Scroll to change Skin. You only need Search bar and 4 click to craft rare item or useless item

You can turn it off at Advance setting "Crafting Auto Close" and other Crafting menu option there. At old menu when you Pre Craft the tab will Close and you need to cancell the Placement to save then back do it again, but now you can Pre Craft alot of structure at once and place it later while Crafting tab still open

my suggestion:

its Gonna be a Hard No for Developer to add back old Crafting menu because the Old Crafting menu make it Hard to the developer to add item without the menu look Bloat and Hard to memorize item, then it just Hard to keep both Crafting menu uptodate when the old one Hard to make it Easy to use

Don't care if it's a bit bloated and what so hard to memorized? as long as you know in what crafting tab that item logicaly belongs to.
Solution can be option to customize it - hide crafts you dont want to see to make more space Or/And at bottom "search for" "advanced" menu that woud work somewhat similiar to the new craft menu - AND EVERYONE WOULD BE HAPPY. It's not rocket science for such solution

Tell that to newcomer that Died left and Right at Public Server, this new crafting tab add more Freedom to Developers and Modders make update, Easy to learn for Newcomers and its powerful for veteran that Want to adapt to new System

Doubt, this update got through Beta Test Where Player and Developers work together Report and bug fixing add Sugestion and Feedback and Still there's people not pleased with the update

Who are you man? Lawyer of the Klei or something? Why don't you understand these people? They just want old menu back. Its so simple, just simple. People don't say anything about another updates. We love developers care about the game but some decisions can be change. Community makes this game better. Someone need to play first so dev can develop more, right. Please don't try to convince people. Thank you.

Well if you want to bring "da Community" into this. Then at first glance on the feedback Klei got about the new crafting ui.

Most seem to be pleased or content with the new ui especially after the changes it went through including the implementation of community suggested additions into this crafting ui.

And just the small part of the Community seem to be still displeased / want the old ui back.

So there's that.

I've been playing Don't Starve since before Reign of Giants even existed. The new crafting menu takes some getting used to, but I think is overall superior to the old one. People gotta learn to be more flexible and try new things out for a while before judging too quickly. Give it a shot for a week of playtime and be open to change. You can learn to appreciate the improvements. I especially like the favorite crafts, because I used a lot of bundling wrap in long term worlds and it can be a pain to scroll all the way down to ropes, and bundling wrap. Now it is much faster and simpler to use. That's just my opinion though.

Well i could said i just Salty Beta Tester my Reaction when i hopped to beta branch its just suck, a broken Crafting tab that still being work on and not fleshed out like now,

saveral Crash at Vanila word dont even ask about Modded one, i just Said Nope i am out of here. But looks like they doing well with bug Fixing getting player Feedback and Sugestion

Simple at Your Side Not Developer and Modders Side, Old Craft Ui its Nice for now but it will be pain in the ass later if they planned added tons of Craftable item

People don't say anything about another updates.
Do You Know How Many Times Wolfgang got Rework? Its "3 Times" they Sure can just Move on to other Stuff but no They listen Player Feedback and and go back Rework, Re-Rework and Reworked again,

Then its Not First time Klei Get Rid Old Mechanic, They Retired, Change and Reworked Basic and Improment Farm at "Reap what you Sow" Update

We love developers care about the game but some decisions can be change. Community makes this game better. Someone need to play first so dev can develop more, right. Please don't try to convince people. Thank you.
They are Literally Run "Beta Test Branch" before release the update to the public for player to see and test new Feature and its still got update after beta, well it just Hard to please everyone
