How do I properly farm spiders?

Hi, i'm pretty new to the game but finally have myself stable here as webber with a rudimentary 'spider farm' setup. I'm apparently supposed to have several nests, tame one spider, then use an attack cancel to get it to attack another spider, which will then basically ignite a civil war. However when I actually do this, the spiders all just attack the one tamed spider and then leave, even the spiders from separate nests. What am I supposed to do?

Taming one spider usually isn't enough,

What I've noticed actually causing the war is when one spider dies another spider attacks the "ghost" of the spider that died.

Since a ghost spider was targeted and it's not considered the one that initially attacked under your command a spider will attack that spider.

All you need is enough spiders to start that the "Ghost" spiders get attack more frequently and potentially by more than one spider.

If a spider attacks a "ghost" they are marked to kill next.

AKA make the spiders whiff an attack after a spider has died.
