Report a translation problem
for lag you can try to disable "Lag prediction" in the options,
so you'll see exactly where your character is.
and depending on how many days you've had the world,
there could be a Lot of items that are scattered around (rot/twigs etc),
you can clean these up with a workshop mod, search for "no lag" or "anti lag" mods in the workshop.
wich should make the world easier to run/save etc with a bit less lag.

Try:
-enabling "netbook mode" in the game settings menu.
-disabling "small textures" in the game settings menu.
^If doing both of those don't help, try either: launching the game using the other bitrate, or disabling all mods, and see if the issue still persists.
