Streak of bad luck

I have been having a streak of bad luck, usually at the expense of other servers, and I want to say two things. One, for the servers I played on, I'm sorry that I suck at the game, especially today. Two, how do I improve my chances of survival so people will suffer less?

It doesn't really bother me when someone suck but it does bother me when you just set things on fire :P

This game is very unforgiving - I can’t imagine playing it without mods to make surviving easier.

Its suppose to be unforgiving by design, which is why mods are more for those who loves a bit more casual experience or a even more hardcore gameplay.
