pet beefalo magically keeps having babies

How do I make this not happen? I can't take care of them all so I kind of have to lead the kids out back and "deal with them" away from the mom I can't do this anymore guys.
I originally got my main beefalo in the midst of spring so she was in heat and lead her all the way home, well away from any other beefalo. and then magically during summer 2 babies appeared. I went and dealt with them and then later 2 more showed up.

Once you domesticate/tame the beefalo (and keep it that way) then it won't have any babies/go into heat.
