Merm Lore
So, if the Gorge punishes people who don't make him meals and turns them into Merms, does that mean all the merms in DS are just punished survivors who failed to cook for the Gorge?

I'd assume not since the Merms in Gorge don't punch you in the face for walking next to their house. But then again, growing up in a place like the constant probably encourages such behavior. So... I don't think anyone knows.

I was thinking the same thing after I lost.

The Merms we see in dst are probably like the descendants of the original people who failed to cook for the gnaw or were mermified some other way.

No, its just a plague. If someone shoots you in a leg that wont mean that the guy who shot you in a leg did it to everyone who has bullets in their legs

I'm not sure where i read it but the merms in the gorge are not completely "mermified" yet. They still have some semblance of a consciousness that does not involve murdering you but judging from quotes, sammy is pretty close to being 100% merm.

"Thoughts dont come to me like they used to"
"Who's Mumsy again? Ah the nice lady"

Something along those lines

I dont think so, i think merms in the ds world are nature creature (not cursed).
merms in the gorge are not actual merms since they can talk they're just cursed.

it seems like a start to "mermification"
