How many hits does it take to kill Deerclops with a fresh hambat?

I just wanted to make sure because in the original DS Deerclops takes about 39 hits to kill with kiting, but because Deerclops has double health I'm a bit worried that I wont kill him in time before I'm fully insane.

Any other information would be much appreciated! (P.S. I have 8 cooked cactus flesh and 3 pierOP and I'll be kiting for the fight).

it takes 68 hits to kill deerclops with a completely fresh hambat, not accounting for any damage modifiers from warly or wolfgang. you might want some extra cooked cactus flesh so nightmares don't attack you and maybe 2 extra pierOP. one final note is that you could use deerclops to clear out spider dens, tentacles, or destroy trees.

4000 hp / approx 58 damage per hit with fresh hambat = approx 68-70 hits. Sounds like you are ready supply wise. Just try to use roads to help with the dodging and kiting and you should be good. If you go insane you can eat your cooked cactus to help your sanity.
