Spiky Bind Weed (the one hurting you) = Protects plants around it from being dug and picked. Tottaly useless.
Tillweed = Makes mounds of rock in your plots that upset other plants. Can be harvested to make a slightly better healing salve (but not worth it tbh, it needs petals and charcoal)
Fire nettles = If you touch/pick a grown one it inflicts a poison that increases your temperature by 60 for a minute. This can easily overheat you in any session that isnt Winter. Can be harvested to gain the leaves that when eaten invoke the same effect (but hurt you for 20 hp) kinda neat for Winter otherwise useless.
Forget me lots = The most common Weed. When dug up it might reappear in the same spot later so its hard to root out. The pettles can be combined with 2 honey and 1 ice in a crockpot to make a tea that restores 45 sanity (15 instantly + 30 over time, which is even better). If you can make it, the tea is unironicly quite good
The only catch to forget me lots (if you give up a single tile plot to farm them) is they enter a "bolting" stage which is useless as it produces no pettals anymore. (but they spread at this stage too, so you want a few bolting flowers), If you do try to have a small tile of them, you will need to dig up the old plants from time to time if you dont harvest them constantly.
