Butterfly issue

Hey everyone, I recently switched over to pc from playing a ton of Don't Starve on console but I'm having a pretty laughable issue that may seem ridiculous. However, since the switch I'm having a hard time chasing down and killing butterflies with the mouse pointer. Are there any tips you might be able to give that work for yourself on pc?
