is it a bad idea to stack head armor with body armor?
example wig helm + log suit

Why would it be a bad idea? It depends on the fight, but in general if you combine head armour with body armour the durability of both will last longer, which is a good thing, An exception to this is the Ancient Guardian fight where, instead of body amour the magiluminescence.
