Reset character during game

Hey,
I want to ask if there is a way to reset any player's character and repick a new character?

Assuming your the host of the server you can use the command c_despawn()
Make sure you make yourself a map to read and to drop all of your items as it will delete them.

If I want to reset specific player's character and not all the players, there is an option?

First use the command c_listallplayers(). This command will print out the number and Klei ID of every person on the server into the console.

After you find the number of the person you want to reset use the command c_despawn(#) into the console and replace the # sign with the number of the person you want to reset.

im still noob in this game , but i know you can change character with no mod no strange command and without to reset. its in game. you can craft something , i guess its a stone of moon something like that. and you can change character by using the portal im not sure its the way for that

This likely didn’t apply considering how old this thread is.

But you can now change your character via the celestial orb.
In order to do so you must:
> Upgrade the portal.
- Get the cover from the orb’s crafting tab.

> Craft celestial offering
- Needed to then use on the portal to let you change.

Note: When switching character you drop everything in place. So if you carry living things you should put it in your backpack. And also lanterns will be turned on.


Celestial orb is found from a round moon rock in a meteor field, on day 60 I believe it WILL spawn 100%.
