Don't Starve Together

My experience with the new pets so far.
We found a rock den and didn't know what to do with it for a while,

YOU CRAFT EM!!! (Using the rock den as crafting station)

I GOT A BABY HOUND "Vargling"

It eats one food item a day.

The wigfrid got a kittycoon as it's only one baby per person.

The wigfrid dismissed it to see what would happen.

We also found where the bee queen likely resides in a bee biome.

You find a "rocky den" (I found it in the mosiac) and craft them using a cooked food item (Monster lasagna for Hound and fishsticks for Cat) and another item (cat tail for Cat and four hound teeth for Hound)

Right click near the rock den, be warned this will dismiss em permanently, just fence them in if they're in your way.

I wanted to try Critters but I stumbled upon some problems:
The Vargling looks cute and is easy to obtain, but I wondered if you could answer some questions about mostly the Vargling
Vargs are aggresive to players, will the Vargling grow up and then be aggresive to me?
Or will it not grow up? Or grow up and be neutral? and If it were to grow up and be neutral would it also be neutral to other players on the server?
I hope you can help me with this :)

None of the pets grow up or do anything actually useful.
They are purely aesthetic.

I think the idea was not to 'craft' them, but to lure them out with their favorite food and an item that reminds them of their heritage. The food you make them with, is their favorite recipe after all and they eat less if you feed that to them I believe. Someone once told me that.

Hmm, never thought of it that way.

It does make kind of sense that way I guess. Who 'crafts' a living thing anyway lol.

Cannibalism?

You aren't crafting or luring them; you're giving the items to the guy inside the cave in exchange for a pet.
