Imo you can't judge a game within 2 hours, otherwise LeagueOfLegend and a lot of games wouldn't be played.

Open world survival sandbox. It is kind of the genre it is in, like Terraria, ARK, etc

You have no goal beyond a few bosses to defeat here and there.

But some people like that, not sure why you felt you had to come onto the forums with a insulting attitude to the game and write this though =P just because you don’t like the genre

And no, saying something like that doesn’t make one a fanboy. It is pure logic and common sense. Not everyone likes every game genre. I don’t like racing games for example. But I don’t go onto racing game forums saying they are stupid and pointless to play just because I don’t like them. Common sense, common decency, and reasonable logic

Coming from someone with less than 100 hours I can see where your coming from, thats why you give yourself goals in this game rather than having the game tell you what to do. If you don't know where to start, then just play the game and you will learn how to survive or if you can be bothered look at other resouces like wikipedia or other players similar to most people do and you'll find something fun. After a while there will be many fun things that you can do on any world before you even spawn in.

There are many discussions already about why people don't like this game, but most are just people that aren't willing to even try, or just expect to be amazing from the start. when they die to something unexpected they say this game is stupid and then a discussion like this appears. The truth is you will die a lot to everything usually at least once from random things until you know how to deal with them.

This is survival sandbox in a nutshell. You learn from your mistakes and try again.

You make a fire. You make food. You learn new recipes to make better things.

Just because you cannot find fun in a genre doesn’t mean it sucks, it just means it isn’t a game for you

Let’s look at me and racing games again. I find them horribly boring. You just go around and around trying to be first. Whoop de do. Such fun. But I don’t play them because I don’t find them fun, I don’t go raging on their forums complaining they’re bad =P
