Start game in same time?

Hi,

Sorry, this might be a question already asked, but didn't find the answer.
We are 2 friends, trying to play DST and we would like to start in the same time.

When we try, I host the game and once launched (and I have to select my character), the day starts. The time my friend connects to my server + chose character, 1/4 or 1/2 of the day might have passed.

Is there anyway to start in same time (or we should die together when everyone is here?) ?

We play in cooperation / survival mode. Thank you.

If you stay in the lobby (the character selection screen) and wait for your friend to join, time will not pass in game. Time only passes if there is a player actively in the world. Thus, by the time your friend joins you in the lobby, you will be able to start the world together.

Unfortunately, after that point there isn't much you can do. Say you both take a break, leave the world and come back later. If you are hosting then it will take time for your friend to rejoin the world. That's just due to connections taking a while. Nothing can be done about that.
