Just mute the ingame sound or look in the steam workshop. DS had problems with the annoying insanity sound, since start. This is a known issue, but sadly works as intended i think? They wanted to make the sound intentionally annoying or nervewrecking.

sry :c

y do dev's have to be shush boll breakers i bought the game thus i should be able to play it how i want. it's not like it's going to give me an unfair advantage or something

First look into the options and the steam workshop. There are several sound mods. And options got 3 seperate sound lines to adjust.

This is the mod I use. It's got options for how loud you want it in 10% increments.

While I can understand your wish to play this way and the moddability of DST allows you to do so, this sentence just makes you look like a spoiled child.
I bought Stardew Valley I should be able to kill all NPCs with a big shotgun.
See how dumb I sound? You bought a specific game with a specific set of features. You should know about those features when buying it or discover them before the time to get a refund is over. If you don't, that's on you. You can ask the devs for things, but they don't owe you anything.

killing specific NPC's can break your game by blocking your progress and other annoying ♥♥♥♥ so lots them are unkillable you can still shout them in the face but they just won't die (trust me i'v tried). but I'm not asking for anything that will aid my progress, break the game or change how i play it i just want the ability to remove an immersive feature.

So your saying i shouldn't of bought the game because of one specific feature i find kind of annoying? that's like saying you shouldn't move countries because there one law you don't really agree with. Now of course the devs don't owe me ♥♥♥♥ but that doesn't mean they don't care about what there players want. now I'm allowed to be annoyed when i realise the devs actually don't care about something that a lot of player must find frustrating.

Don't listen to the haters. It's rightly justified to fix broken sound or FX effects.
Besides klei got a track record with sound issues. In the singleplayer DS with RoG summer filters were always bugged and distorted the sound to ugly heights.
I'm not even sure, if they finally fixed that bug, since when i wanna play RoG i use DST instead of DS. But the sound works fine in SW, since it got no summer season thankfully :D

Power to the players, this is why we have the wonderful steamworkshop. Likewise we can fix that winona catapults don't have a switch to turn them on or off. Even though they should work just like iceflingos. Devs also are humans and make lots mistakes :3
Example thread: https://steamcommunity.com/app/322330/discussions/0/1846946102866141241/

Those threads all spawn cause devs overlooked important feature or balancing etc.

Another funny feature is how bad the game is translated with the PS4 translations. No matter what language you choose you find alot of mistakes xD. But i guess it makes the quotes translation so bad that they are funny and hilarious.
