or pigs, beefalo etc
Spiders are easy to farm, and a great source of Monster Meat, which can be used in meat recipes. Pigs can also make for a nice source of big meat. Hunting for Koalafants when you see a track is also a good way, as killing one can keep you fed for a good while. Beefalos, similarly to koalafants, offer quite a lot of meat (keep in mind they might be in heat). You could also try killing some of the pengulls (but try to single them out before attacking, as these dudes are wild!)
If you aren't much in for fighting, using traps to catch Rabbits or Spiders is a nice alternative, or using a Bird Trap to catch birds.
As for non-meat ingredients.
Ice is abundant in Winter, it spawns with pengulls, you can use ice as a great filler for pretty much any recipe. Cacti grow normally during Winter.
Also worth noting, while stuff like Berry Bushes and Farms don't grow food in Winter, any food previously ready to harvest in them will remain there, so these can be used as a method to stockpile food that you can harvest at any time during Winter.
Kill hounds or spiders for the rest of your meat. Eat it cooked along with blue mushrooms to manage your health everynow and then or just make healing salves.
Killing the monsters is the easiest to sustain, but knowing how to force food from anywhere helps a ton.

If youve gone cavewards, Bunnyman farms are good, but farming them is really tricky
