I agree with you on that one,really interesting and fun character to play which his the only downside is actually upside (talking about low sanity) ,about pigs...meh really,ya gonna kill them anyway with a matter of time. Spiders on the other hand are more reliable than befriended pigs

yep. not to mention spider's loots can will every of webber's stats

health: spider glands
hunger: monster meats
sanity: silk (top hats)

his beard is a straight upgrade from wilson, growing much faster. it may lack on producing beard hair & extra insulation, but beard hair can easily be opbtained by insanity and the reduce on insulation is easy to deal with because tHeRmAl sToNeS

also his monster downside is barely a downside. you can easily base near a heard of pigs and you will be fine from spider friends. pigs are like crawling horrors. easy to kite, easy to kill, easy to deal with.

while bunnymen are a bit of an issue, there are more spiders in the cave than bunnymen. not to mention spitters, dangling depth dwellers, and ♥♥♥♥

also if you die from catcoon as webber, i think you need to uninstall your game lol

-Good at the start of the game but doesn't offer anything in the late of the game because silk will availbale once you build spider pin next to bunnymen.

-Just because he didnt synergyze doesn't mean he is bad. He is more of the "base gatherer" and also more of a solo

Most of your points are good, though I would argue with the 2 minor things

- Is there really any point in bringing chester along if he can't go near your base? Sure you can have him as an extra backpack/moving chest but once you get to base, you gotta keep walking back and forth to put items away.
- Pierogis and Meatballs can be eaten by anyone, and only really early game do you benefit from monster meat. You'll mostly be making these foods after your first crock pot because it's simply better.

I usually have 0 problems placing chester slightly further from base. i usually put them 1 screen away from base and he hasnt been killed ever since and i have no problem getting items from him
When im talking about pierogis & meatballs, im only talking about gathering the resources to make them. making meatballs have never been easier without webber. Feed the bird cooked monster meat and get eggs that can be used for both meatballs and pierogis

Although you made a fair point. i understand that :)

Im a Webber Main, and in my opinion he is one of the best characters. Pigs are not necessarily a problem as they are worthless other than Pig Skins (Manure is better getting it from Beefalo) and plus, Webber's low sanity allows him to get Beardlings easily. He can get an infinite supply of Spider Glands, Monster Meat and Silk. Spider Glands are useful for making Telltale Hearts or just for healing. Monster Meat, you can cook with Eggs in a Crock Pot to make a 50% chance of making Bacon and Eggs (which is very good) or Monster Lasagna (which is also good as Webber can eat Monster Meat) and Silk is just a very useful resource in general, and good for Insulation. Having Spiders as guards are really good compared to having pigs (As you have to feed one pig at a time, compared to having to feed one spider and get up to 4 guards) and also, you can tame Spider Warriors which are great for bodyguards (also spitters and such)

Webber is like the worst of all characters in DST. It's for selfish egoistic players.
Even walani would be better, since she is at least fun to play and you can explore much faster the map with the surfboard.
Basically after 5 days of gameplay webber gets instantly useless, since good constructors already made endless silk farms out of the box with bunnymen.

Even willow is more beneficial to the party, since she can make endless torches for the party at start. She has the same usefullness for first 5 days of server lifetime.

And in singleplayer DS wilbur is better anyway, he is more fun got much better perks ( that speed perk is godly ) and looks more cute.

Really webber has better beard than wilson? Heheh great joke. What a lie. Wilson can make with his beard op meat effigies rendering ANY ally invincible and you will never need telltale hearts ever again! No more ghosts on this server

you shouldnt judge dst based on its teamwork, but survivability. Webber can survive very long using only spiders. And having a cave base as webber is even more beneficial.

This kind of comment is exactly why everybody who don't main Webber hate him with a passion.

dst stand for don't starve TOGETHER, if you chose your character and your role in a team game not by focusing on synergies and teamwork but on your own survival, you can as well go play solo. That way you won't have to deal with everybody else who'll kill your spiders for ressources or self-defense.
