How long do Shadow Puppets last in DST?
I know DS Puppets die in 2.5 but how about DST? Is it permanent?

until they get killed by an idiotic way or you use ctrl+f to kill them to get 1 nightmare fuel back

Permanent, but require flint tool to summon and job restricted with that tool, also a bit trigger happy. If you make them with ax, they will only chop tress and they will autochop all trees you come across, regardless of their growth stage. If you had other plans for your twiggy tree farm, don't come near when you have tree killers out.

They, usually, die during hound wave. Or by treeguard.

Combat shadows regenerate health fast, but still only have 75 HP, which makes them useless against any serious foe that can oneshot them.

yeah it sucks. I have 2 loggers, 1 digger and 1 miner. The miner keeps on destroying my marble tree farm, my birch trees are dying because of the loggers. But i didnt know the diggers dig up graves by themselves.

On positive side: 2 loggers and 1 digger rival Woody in chopping speed. Becuse they work automatically, all I have to do is to hold space to colect items and protect them from treeguards.

Way I coped: was to only have shadows out constanlty, in beginning.
Later, I had them out for big woodcutting/minig sessions, wood and stones don't spoil. Even when they won't fit inventory, left them on ground and collected later.

With marble trees, they can be planted in synchronized groups, but I sometimes ended up mining marble without shadows, too inconvenient and not much faster.
