Wurt similar to webber offers a new way to play and in doing so is creating a new type of survivor.
What I hope to see are traditional survivors and nontraditional survivors.
As it stands now a team of just wurt players can work together to set up a merm king which benefits them all and then defend and feed the king for salvation and sufficency.
This offers a new take on the usual survival while still existing along side normal characters which I find phenomenal.
The only thing wurt lacks is the ability to conventially work with the original survivors but the fact is it changes the focus of the game to something else.
Webber is somewhat similar but Webber will usually share some of the abundance of spider drops with others. Wurt on the other hand is elsewhere.
I don't think anything needs to be changed as the player decides whether they work for the team, not the character's perks and abilities (the perks and abilities can give an edge).
Her merms are basically better shadow puppets that do everything except dig. So keeping them around via merm hats for friends can be nice.
Also a tip that most people don't use. Boomerangs can be used to start the agro of followers onto a mob in the same way as starting a melee attack and cancelling the animation, although using this might take a lil practice. This combined with the fact that merms don't scare birds means you can get free meat and feathers for your friends (since wurt cant eat meat) which is pretty nice.
Clever disguise also lets you trade fish for trinkets and other goodies at the king of merms, as well as making merms peaceful to players.
Craftsmen Houses let's players set up merm farms anywhere, Flortifications can automate farming of enemies better than most characters.
She also doesn't lose anything when "drowning" so she is a excellent salt gatherer without risk.
People play Wolfgang who offers actually no team-play and people don't complain about him so...
The Royal guards and the merm king can be peaceful to another player even if you dont wear a disguise. (Im a wormwood and i fed him)
Wolfgang does offer the meat at the table... then he eats it all.
Wurt is a really good team player if you intend to use pigmen 2.0.
Her main problem is that she's not a very good ruins diver because that would take another merm king and even more merm houses.
She's no wortox or warly but that's not the point. She does have her place and comparing her to Webber is a bit unfair imo because running around with spider hats all the time is not an option.
I do agree with everything said here but spider hats are a thing and they prevent players from being attacked by all spiders but spider queens.
They also give everyone wearing a hat 10 free spider followers, only downside being that they are still spiders.
Also getting a kelp farm from the lunar island (total kelp can range from 34-60) can help keep the king up and also keep wurt from raiding the fridge or your farm for the rest of however long your world lasts or how long you can keep the kelp from being set ablaze
