beaver=resource gatherer, you can chop trees and break rocks faster then others

goose=fast travel, great for moving from A to B or exploring, especially underground

both have nightvision

Thanks for the reply but what i dont understand is the log meter.

The "log" meter is an old thing the newer version of Woody have the Ware-meter.
If you are a beaver then chopping/breaking will make it degrade slower.
Goose is easy as long as you don't stop running it'll degrade slower.
If you don't run as goose or gather as beaver then it'll degrade much faster.

Since no one answered the moon question yet Full moon happens on day 11 and 31.
As you can see it takes about 20 days for a full moon to return.

Werebeaver has a 0% chance of spawning treeguards. Normal Woodie has a 50% increased chance to spawn treeguards compared to every other character in the game.

So if you just want wood Werebeaver can get you a pretty enormous amount without having to deal with treeguards if you don't want to. Especially good if you're trying to collect a bunch of birchnuts as well.

Whenever you transform back to woodie from a were-form you will always have 0 hunger, to counter this carry some form of food on you when you are gonna transform that way you can eat immediately afterward. I'd recommend something simple yet filling such as meatballs!

There are 3 types of wereforms: Goose, Elk & Beaver!
Further reasearch try there:

Careful some guides might be outdated. Try to find guides only from 2020 or late 2019 about woodie!

There are several methods in transformations:
#1 Random eat 2 cooked monster meat
#2 Random: Wait for full moon to happen
#3 Manual: Craft an idol for the corresponding werebeast you wanna turn into

PS: You are immune to random transformations inside of cave. In cave full moon can't happen aka you will be always human unless you force transform with idol / meat.
